Daniel P. Nikolic is a First – Generation American born and raised on the Southeast Side of
Chicago. Mr. Nikolic graduated from Mount Carmel High School and Loyola University
University, while at Loyola University Mr. Nikolic studied Political Science and History,
served as President of the Honor Society and worked as a Court Clerk for the Circuit Court of
Cook County.

After graduating from Loyola Mr. Nikolic attended Law School at John Marshall Law School
and Clerked for the Cook County States Attorney’s Office. After passing the bar Mr. Nikolic
was sworn in as an Assistant Cook County States Attorney in 1991.
Mr. Nikolic made a name for himself as a confident prosecutor and handled some of the most
sensitive cases in the Cook County State Attorney’s Office and many of his cases were
featured in the local and national news.

Mr. Nikolic was recruited in 1995 by Mr. James Ryan, who was the elected Attorney General
for the State of Illinois to head up a unit to prosecute financial fraud on a Statewide Basis.
Mr. Nikolic became a nationally recognized expert on fraud and abuse and travelled
nationwide speaking on how to litigate financial fraud cases. Mr. Nikolic’s cases were
featured on “Dateline” “20/20”, local and national media outlets. Have been featured in the
Wall Street Journal, Washington Times, numerous Bar Journals, local and national print
media.

Mr. Nikolic was then entrusted to prosecute sitting Judges, States Attorneys, Private
Attorneys, Police Officers and Elected Officials throughout the 102 counties of Illinois. Mr.
Nikolic has prosecuted some of the most highly sensitive cases for over 28 years while at the
Attorney General’s Office. Mr. Nikolic has the distinction of having prosecuted more sitting
Judges, Assistant States Attorneys, Private Attorneys and Elected officials than any other
Prosecutor in Illinois.

Mr. Nikolic was Chairman of the Police and Fire Board for the Village of Western Springs.
Mr. Nikolic has been licensed in both State and Federal court since 1991.
Mr. Nikolic has run for political office and has appeared in a major motion picture (The
Negotiator – 1998)
